GAS48027 Sherman Dozer M1

Over 49,000 units of this vehicle have been built making the M4 Sherman the most produced tank of WWII. The M4's genesis goes back to August 1940. An incredibly wide array of variants has been designed to carry out various tasks. In January 1942 the M1 shovel was tested. Its width was 3.15 m. It was actuated by a bow-mounted jack on the Sherman.
The Sherman had a crew of five and was armed with a M3 75 mm cannon (with 97 shells) in a cast turret with two Browning M1919A4 7.62 mm machine-guns (coaxial and bow) with 4,750 cartridges, and one Anti-Aircraft HB M2 12.7 mm machine-gun (300 rounds).
The first operational use of the Sherman-dozer took place during the landing of Saturday January 22, 1944 in Anzio, Italy. From then onwards it served until the end of WWII.
