GAS50136 Russian heavy tank KV-1E Mle 1940

6247 chars Klimenti Voroshilov 1 furent construits à partir de février1940 dans les usines Kirov de Leningrad et de Chelyabinsk après le 21 juin 1941. Le KV-1 pesait 47,5 tonnes, était propulsé par un moteur diesel V-2-K, 12 cylindres, de 600 chevaux et roulait à 35 km/h.
Cinq tankistes prenaient place à bord, correctement protégés par au plus 90 mm d'acier. Un canon de 76,2 mm L-11, doté de 111 obus et 3 mitrailleuses DT de 7,62 mm approvisionnées en tout à 3024 cartouches constituaient la puissance de feu du KV-1
De 1940 à 1945, le KV-1 utilisé par l'Armée Rouge contribua efficacement à la défense de la Rodina. Ainsi, au début de la Grande Guerre Patriotique, ce char surclassait tous ses opposants jusqu'à l'arrivée des chars lourds allemands eux-mêmes plus performants.

As of February 1940 the first of the6,247 Klementi Voroshilov 1 rolled out the Kirov facilities of Leningrad. The KV-1 was produced in Chelyabinsk after June 21; 1941 too. A 600 hp 12 cylinders V-2-K diesel engine moved the 47.5 tons of the tank at speeds up to 35 km/h.
The crew of five was adequately protected by at the most 90 mm of armour. One 76.2 mm L-11 cannon with 111 shells and three 7.62 mm DT machine- guns loaded with a total of 3,024 cartridges made up the KV-1's firepower.
From 1940 to 1945 the KV-1 used by the Red Army contributed efficiently to the defence of the Rodina. In the early times of the Great Patriotic War the KV-1 tank outclassed all its opponents until the coming out of German heavy tanks themselves more potent.
