History of the renovated AMX 10 RC armored vehicle GIAT Nexter

On January 29, 2008, Nexter Systems delivered the 100th renovated AMX 10RC armored vehicle to the French Army. This delivery follows a contract signed with the General Delegation for Armaments (DGA) in December 2000 relating to the renovation of 256 AMX 10 RC armored vehicles.

  The renovation of the AMX 10RC consists of making the chassis more reliable, completely refitting the turret and integrating the SIT V1 Terminal Information System. Remember that the SIT V1 was qualified last August by the DGA, notably on the AMX 10RC. The operational evaluations of this vehicle went perfectly, and in 2006, a squadron of the 1st Foreign Cavalry Regiment equipped with renovated AMX 10 RCs was sent to Ivory Coast as part of Operation Licorne.
