Conversion kit M1126 Stryker
A little history
The M1126 Stryker is an American 8×8 wheeled armored personnel carrier. Developed in the late 1990s by General Dynamics Land Systems-Canada, it entered service in 2002.
The Stryker is named in honor of two American soldiers who were killed in service in two different wars, and who were posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor, one in World War II, the other in the Vietnam War.
The M1126 Stryker was developed from the Canadian LAV-III Kodiak, based on the Swiss Mowag Piranha III armored vehicle. It features the RWS M-151 Protector remotely-operated turret, which can be fitted with a 12.7 mm M2HB heavy machine gun or a 40 mm Mk-19 automatic grenade launcher.
A wide range of armored vehicles is developed on the M1126 Stryker chassis. All Stryker versions are used by the US Army's Stryker Brigade Combat Team (SBST) brigades.
1/48 M1126 Stryker conversion kit on Solido base.
You can now order Gaso.line's 1/48-scale M1126 Stryker conversion kit on a Solido base.
This conversion reproduces the troop transport version of the Stryker and uses the excellent Solido base that Gaso.line has converted to the brand's renowned quality with realistic details.
The conversion kit does not include the Solido base, and you'll need to take care to recover certain parts from the base model that are reinstalled on the conversion.
What's more, the RWS M-151 Protector turret's machine-gun barrel is made of machined brass for greater realism and solidity, while the rest of the kit is made of resin as usual at Gaso.line.
