History of the Churchill Crocodile flame thrower on Solido base

In 1943, British military engineers developed the flamethrower model of the Churchill tank, called Crocodile, capable of producing a flame which extends about ten meters along the axis of the vehicle. These flames allow the Allies to destroy enemy shelters and bunkers without necessarily calling on infantry demolition teams.
Preparing for the landing required developing special devices to overcome and destroy the numerous obstacles of the Atlantic Wall.
One of the main reasons for this installation on Churchill tank was the robustness of the armor of this armor which "allowed" it to approach close enough to deliver its jets of ignited products without too much risk from individual enemy anti-tank weapons.
The other advantage was to keep the armament with its 75 mm cannon available for conventional use.
This armored vehicle will be part of the famous "Funnies" menagerie of Percy Hobart's 79th Armored Division.
